Over the course of the weekend, I …

… climbed up on the roof to try and seal around the flashing that’s been leaking.

… planted a zillion bulbs in my annual “Why the hell did I buy so many bulbs?” fest.

… cleaned the kitchen, including a particular troublesome nook where various goblets, bottles, travel mugs, and brik-a-brak had been accumulating for quite some time.

… cleaned out the cupboard under the family room phone.

The latter two were part of my having hit a tipping point (at least over the weekend) as to the general state of disarray in the house. In this case, those cabinets had in them many paper trays full of stuff that dated back two-plus years, and which hadn’t been accessed since then. Half of it went in the trash, the other half to where it belonged.

I felt particularly virtuous by the time I was done. even if most of the house looked pretty much the same.
