“… but here it’s so delightful.”
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon MDT today.
Snow… heavy at times… will continue through the rest of the
morning. Total accumulations by the noon hour will range from
6 to 12 inches… with the heaviest amounts across the western and
southern suburbs of Denver. North winds will increase to 20 to
30 mph will produce some blowing snow. Visibilities will be poor
due to heavy falling snow.Heavy wet snow accumulating on trees still holding onto their
leaves may cause limb breakage and power outages.Remember… a Winter Storm Warning means hazardous winter weather
conditions are imminent. Significant snow accumulations are
occurring. This will make travel very hazardous.
Shirt sleeve weather here.
My main concern (since I know that Margie’s all snugged in; though no school closure for Katherine) is how things on the ground will be when I get in close to midnight tonight. I don’t expect any big problems, given how warm the pavement’s been, but I’m kind of sorry I missed the storm.
Do you even have a jacket with you? Remember you are parked way out. Safe Travel. 🙂
I do have a light jacket — but I just realized that, yes, I’m parked in the hinterlands. Damn.
The snow is almost melted and I expect it to be gone by this evening.
We’ve a fair amount on the ground and (unplowed) streets yet, but it’s melting away.
