Musical epiphany (on a Sunday afternoon)

It’s “you and me, endlessly,” with a bit of syllabic mangling. I always wondered why they were singing about “you and me and Leslie.”…

  1. I get one of those about once a year, usually over some lyrics I’ve heard wrong for years and years.

And usually in retrospect I wonder what he hell I was thinking.

  2. One of the funnies from way back.

While driving, one of my friends was singing to a song in the car, God is a Bullet from Concrete Blond. One of the lines goes like this:

God is a Bullet, have mercy on us everyone.

My friend sang it like this:

God is a bullet-head, mercy on us everyone.

After I subtly and kind pointed out the error of his ways, there was much sheepishness and chigrin on his part.

    Ahhh…good times. 🙂

  3. What’s really annoying is hearing the song again later, realizing that the lyric is not what you thought, but not being able to figure out again what it was you determined it was.
