It is a sign, I think, of a good RPG that I discover the characters and settings are something I want to write about.  That’s happened twice now with “Mortal Coil.” First we had the 1950s San Francisco arcane detectives Donne & Donne that Margie and I did up with Doyce a couple of weeks ago.

Today we played again, this time me with De, Lee, and Kate, GMed by Doyce, and, after many travails and tangents, I came up with Rupert Arbuthnot, Baronet Westcastle, and, more importantly, the Page of Swords from the Great Tarot that exists behind the scenes in the world.  Spy, diplomat, and playing card collector, his powers thus far are to find others of his ilk and to locate hidden things.  Fun stuff.  I’ll update this with a link to Doyce’s write-up, once he creates it.

  1. Actually, that scenario might be a good shared-world kind of thing. We might start up a lexicon or whatnot and make a go of it some month that is NOT November 🙂
