Beloved US artist THOMAS KINKADE’s most famous piece has inspired a new movie. Kinkade’s artwork can be found in one in 10 US households and his THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE piece is an annual favourite. Now, movie executives at Lionsgate plans to use the cosy festive picture as the basis for a new film, which they hope to release this holiday season.

In the immortally diplomatic words of Abraham Lincoln, “Those who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like.”
