Though it’s still beastly hot, the evenings have been getting cooler, and we’re supposed to dip down to the 70s in the daytime temps by the end of the week. The top of the Mt Evans Road is now officially closed for the year, the fountain outside Tokyo Joe’s was being drained at lunch, and there are just the first couple of marginal leaves beginning to turn.
I welcome autumn with open arms.
