Yes, that’s the title of the fourth Indy movie.
Um …
Okay, that title …
… well, it’s not “Revenge of the Clones” or something. But it’s, um … not …
Okay, it doesn’t grab me. Which won’t keep me away from it, mind you.
IJKCS hits the theaters 22 May 2008 — twenty-seven years after the first installment.
If it doesn’t grab enough people they’ll probably change it.
Gotta wonder how this one will work out. Harrison’s not up to the action standards of previous Indies. He’s not dumb enough to sign up for Indiana Jones and the Rocking Chair of Doom or Indiana Jones and the Horde of Blatant Stunt Doubles.
Is it really that much worse than The Temple of Doom, though?
27 years? Oh my. I saw that on a first date.
Well, hopefully it’s a better movie than Temple of Doom.
Titlewise, it feels long, though it would fit just fine with 30s serials. And while “skull” is scary, “crystal” feels overused. Compared with “raiders” and “doom” and “crusade,” it’s a very passive title.
OK. With Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, Karen Allen and Shia Laboeuf on board (plus Harrison and Spielberg directing of course) I’m very hopeful.
Now if it was Lucas directing…
