Went down to the downtown office to actually scope out the place and meet some of the people and do some initial coordination for my move.
Bottom line: everyone was cheerful, everyone was helpful (even folks who were otherwise distracted by the new timekeeping system), everyone seemed pleased to have me there.
The office space as a whole (in the tower above the Marriott) is nice. My particular prospective office is, in some ways, as much a pit as what I currently have (as an interior office) — but the furniture is more effective, and knowing that it is my space (rather than temporary digs) means that I can feel free to get it all gussied up the way I want.
Overall, quite nice a visit, very encouraging — and they gave me a cardkey to the elevator/floor, and a form for an EcoPass for the transit system. Spiffy!
