  1. For the record, I actually had a chicken burger (not shown), which is what everyone had. No hamburger (beef) burgers on the menu. There was also a McMaharajah burger, or something like that, which was basically a Big Mac with chicken patties. I also had fries and a coffee (no Coke, as ice is not suggested for foreign visitors).

    The McD’s was very nice — two stories, with a play place. It was located at a truck stop just off where the expressway started/stopped on the outskirts of Mumbai. “Truck stop” here means dirt roads with lots of lorries parked on them, and various beggars lurking off off the McD’s proper (kept at bay by a security guard), but not away from the parking.
