Sic

One of those usually-verbal words that always looks odd when written down, a command to attack someone is properly spelled “sic” (sicced, siccing), as in, “Sic ‘im, Fido!”  “Sick” is an acceptable (but secondary) alternative.

Interesting, it’s derived from “seek.”
