Though it’s probably the last thing we need, we’d really like to get an ice cream maker … but the state of our freezer is such that we’re not going to get one that requires an insert that you leave living in the freezer.
It is possible to find self-refridgerating ice cream makers, but they’re a lot more expensive. We got partially “subsidized” on it as a gift, but now we can’t find any.
Regardless, I dislike the insert ones that tout themselves as “fully automatic.” Fully automatic is you add the incredients and push a button. Pre-freezing the container is not automatic. Harrumph!
Fully automatic is: it gets in the car, drives to the store and brings the ice cream back.
Ah. Well, yes, there is that.
