- Al Jazeera report: U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan have Pashto Bibles, told to ‘hunt people for Jesus.’ – (Insert sound of perfectly good teeth being ground away, just like we’re throwing away our chances to be seen as the good guys in Afghanistan.)
- Star Tours 2.0 filming at last? – Spiffy, though obviously it won’t be in place any time soon. This remains one of my favorite Disney rides, but the lack of any long queues any more through the pre-show area (a shame, that) demonstrates that it needs refreshing.
- Why Is This Man Shooting Grandma? – I can understand the question of why we would classify certain crimes as more heinous than others based on hatred to toward the victim’s group. But we already do this for race, origin, religion, and gender, without criminals going out an blowing away Grandma. This sort of propaganda against adding sexuality (etc.) to the hate crime bill is either bewilderingly ignorant or intentionally deceptive.
- Online IQ Test Is Really A Stupid Mobile Phone Download Scam [Facebook] – Yuppers. I went through this test just last night, in fact, and closed it when I got to this (post-test) screen. FB apps ask for a dangerous amount of access, but this one is just pure scam.
- 911 police officer refuses to help girl who calls about her dying father because she said the F word before the call was answered – Boing Boing – “Not our finest hour” indeed. Idjits.

- Buy Rocket Fishing Rod Gen 2 Online | The Official Rocket Fishing Rod Gen 2 Website! – Okay, two things. (1) The site info (Rocket Fishing Rod) is the goofiest product on the market (“as seen on TV!”). (2) I’m tickled beyond describing that the page metadata, picked up here by Google Reader, is for a completely different product: “Create fantastic designs with Pixos! Create Pixos Patterns on the tray, pop into water, and voila. No ironing needed! Choose a range of Pixos Colours. Buy Pixos online today!” Too fun.
- Marn’s Big Adventure – Mimi remains leery of even the back door, though she seems to have caught the habit of Indy’s of scratching at it, regardless of her willingness to go through it when opened.
