Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Amnesty International Targets Shell — on Google Maps – I sympathize with the intent, but I disagree strongly with gaming the system in this fashion.
- Tina Fey wins Emmy for her Sarah Palin impersonations.: Amanda Terkel
- Pawlenty called out on false claim that large numbers of undocumented immigrants are using public services.: Amanda Terkel
- Hutchison Claims That Only A ‘Few’ Of Obama’s So-Called ‘Czars’ Have ‘Formal Titles’ – But — but — they’re being picked by a SCARY KENYAN BLACK MAN (who was elected President).
- 10 Solid Tips to Safeguard Your Facebook Privacy – Some really important info here, unless you don’t mind having no barriers between you and anyone else. Or if you don’t use Facebook.
- Believe It or Not – The atheists I know have been
knowno more prone to rapine and mayhem than the theists I’ve known. Certainly there have been plenty of people who have used God (or their religious leaders, or their interpretation of Scripture, or the voices in their head) as an excuse for doing some pretty awful stuff. When theists in general, and Christians specifically, can demonstrate convincingly that, as a group, they are more more moral people and better contributors to society — that they are demonstrably better “loving neighbors” than atheists, then they can start making claims; until then, they (we) have some beams in our eyes that need removing. - ABC calls teabaggers out on crowd size attribution – Y’know, it’s one thing to make a crowd size claim — everyone knows those are a bit flaky. But to make a factual claim of what someone else said when they didn’t actually say it — that shows that, well, at best you’re honesty-challenged, at worst reality-challenged.
- Climate change depresses beer drinkers – environment – 13 September 2009 – New Scientist – Maybe this will get some nay-sayers off their (heh) Duffs. Or maybe those same folks will shrug and chug their Millers / Bud / Coors and laugh at the Euro-weenies.

- Ezra Klein – Notable Quotables [Socialized Medicine] – I’m shocked, shocked, to find rampant hypocrisy gonig on here.
- Radical, Racist Signs Featured At 9/12 March – “Freaks fill the void and define the party.” Yeah, that’s bout the size of it.
- Jim ‘Waterloo’ DeMint: ‘If We Lose The Health Care Battle, I Think We’ve Lost It All’ – Given the relatively shallow footprint to date of the Obama administration, vs. the War Presidency and Unitary Executive of the Bushies, Beck and DeMint’s fearmongering over an imperial presidency and the domination by the executive branch is hysterically laughable. He’s right, though — HCR is likely to be a Waterloo for one side or the other, hence the GOP monomania to ensure that it’s not theirs.
- War on Christmas begins: Texas conservatives protest inclusion of Hindu holiday in school curriculum. – Special treatment for me but not for thee.

OK, I’m just curious. “Know” and “No” are homonyms, but unlikely to be sentiently transposed especially since “know” was in the same sentence earlier but correctly used. Is there some software on you iPod that picks up words from partial entry, or voice entry, that resulted in that wording?
No, just writing in a rush and amidst distraction. Know iPod involved in the posting, just own fingers and … well, I don’t no …
