Off on a business trip this week, to the wilds of the Santa Clarita Valley, where the temps are supposed to be right around 100 — I’ve seen some sites say around 90 or so, others up to 105 by mid-week. Eek!
Fortunately, as it’s a meeting between my boss and his directs (the first since a year ago in October, when I went to Mumbai — which was also not a meteorological treat), and we’re meeting at his house, I can be in shorts and Hawaiian shirt for most of the week.
Still … yeesh!
On a more practical note, I expect that Tweeting, Blogging, and GReader Sharing will be lighter than usual. I also won’t be able to run Champs Online (since the office laptop won’t handle it), though, hotel broadband willing, I may be able to play City of Heroes.
Meetings will be long, but a good chance to get with a team I only chat with by phone. There are two new team members, plus one person standing in for another, so plenty of new anecdotes to swap.
Now, all I have to do is finish my presentation tomorrow on the plane, and I should be good to go.
