Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Fast-train campaign is picking up speed – Right. If it becomes highly efficient and a possible security risk / target, I guarantee the TSA will do the same thing to high-speed rail that it’s done to air travel.
- Obama Team Continues Effort to Isolate Fox News – Political News – FOXNews.com – Given that most of the air time is, in fact, given to opinion shows rather than straight news, and the news coverage still manages to show an ideological bent both in what “facts” they choose to cover and how they choose to interpret them … yeah, calling it an opinion network rather than a news network seems pretty accurate to me.
- The Escapist : News : “Epic” Mickey Mouse Goes Retro in More Ways Than One – Sound like we got our Wii just in time. This looks very spiffy. (There’s a nice video on the underlying page that didn’t get picked up for GReader.)
- Pilar Faucet turns on from just a touch – Clever. Pricy, but clever.
- YouTube – Sir James Dyson explains his bladeless fan – Cool. Hope the costs for this drop significantly.
- Wade Edwards Catches Daughter Having Sex, Shoots Boyfriend in the Balls – True Crime Report – I can’t actually condone shooting someone in such circumstances … esp. as I believe the lesson was learned once the gun was brandished. Still, one can understand the sentiment.
- Denver’s aquaponics project aims to turn “food desert” into an oasis of health – Cool idea, for a neighborhood that really needs it.
- An existential crisis – On the Internet, nobody knows you’re in the Twilight Zone.
