- Creigh Deeds Failed To Run As A Progressive – The Dems do have to worry some about drinking the wing’s Kool-Aid (a lesson the GOP has not yet figured out), but they also need to figure out their base, and what’s going to get people out to vote. While being sincere in their beliefs, of course.
- Britain is forcing breakups of bailed-out major banks — latimes.com – This will be very difficult to do in the US. Sure, one can plausibly make the argument that the economies of scale make mega-banks more efficent, but they clearly also create too many single points of economic failure and too many areas where undue risk-taking can occur unseen. Unfortunately, financial institutions in the US wield too much clout, and the GOP (and not a few Dems) would never go for it.

- Worst. Campaign. Website. Ever. [Dispatches from the Culture Wars] – Oh my God. I could only scroll down a page or so before I TORE MY EYES OUT WITH MY COMPUTER MOUSE. The design, the rhetoric, and the political philosophy are hideous, garish, and surely against the laws of Man and God.
