Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- 666-3: What I’ve learned this week – I don’t mind the verbing of nouns, as long as the nouns themselves are not verb forms. So “favoriting” something, instead of, well, “favoring” it.
- Child Labor in America 1908-1912 – But let’s remember, people, that the legal elimination of child labor is GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION IN THE FREE MARKET and SOCIALISTIC and HARMFUL TO SMALL BUSINESSES! And there are, in fact, those on the Right who wish it could be rolled back.
- National borders become natural borders – Man does have an impact — sometimes inadvertently positive.
- New GAO Report Exposes More About Politicization of Department of Justice Under Bush – I’m shocked, shocked, to discover the Bush Justice Department Civil Rights Division wasn’t interested in voting rights and race/sex employment discrimination cases. Jerks.

- Blanche Lincoln’s Awful Numbers Could Bode Ill For Reform – Does anyone have some copies of “Profiles in Courage” to send these folks? Because that’s what the book’s all about — making the political sacrifice for what’s right, not what might, maybe, kinda-sorta get you re-elected.
- Eric Boehlert: BREAKING NEWS: WH aide dresses way too nice – Oh, good — let’s add cat fights to the frivolous attacks on the White House. Yeesh.
- Coburn Claims The U.S. Is ‘The Best Place To Get Sick’ – Coburn’s claim: “What’s really great is if you’re really sick anywhere in the world, this is the best place to be sick, it just costs too much.” Um … yeah, that’s kind of the point.
- Eric Boehlert: Why won’t Drudge link to these recent climate headlines? – “Normal seasonal climactic variation explanations for me, but not for thee.”
- Jamison Foser: Chris Matthews falsely blames Al Gore for Willie Horton attacks – When in doubt, blame others for your offenses.
- This One’s Optimistic – Obama’s plan for Afghanistan could have been far worse. It’s up to us to make sure it doesn’t drift in that direction.
