(2) Efforts to reduce its costs amount to government rationing which means “death panels.” (3) We’d all be better off letting the current insurance system do the job instead, because denying claims and dropping policy holders and rescinding coverage is not “rationing,” it’s “the free market.” All three points are demonstrably false, but that doesn’t stop the GOP from its ongoing fearmongering.
