Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Despite finding 200 violations in Gulf drilling operations over the past five years, MMS collected only 16 fines. – “Oh no, Br’er MMS, don’t throw me in that exceedingly rare and trivial fine patch!”
- Extension sync support lands in Google Chrome source code – Also very cool. The ability to treat multiple computers seamlessly is definitely a Useful Thing.
- Chin Hua solar glass generates electricity, lets (most of) the sun shine in – Very cool. I’d be more than happy to install these on some of the windows of our home.
- Rising labor costs in China may lead to pricier electronics, manufacturing relocation – It will be interesting to see how growing prosperity (and wages) will affect China and India both. The race to the bottom in manufacturing and labor costs still has a lot of paces to visit.
- Disturbing Job Ads: ‘The Unemployed Will Not Be Considered’ – As a sometime hiring manager, I consider this highly immoral behavior. Not to mention damned stupid.
- Crushing a Black Child’s Soul – This is very, very well said.
- Gallery: Digitizing the past and present at the Library of Congress – Very cool stuff.
