Unblogged Bits (Sat. 12-Jun-10 1400)

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. Steven Pinker: “Tech rots your brain” hysteria is stupid – People have been decrying technology and its effects on the brain since that new-fangled “writing” meant people were losing the ability to memorize the epics.
  2. “Don’t tease the panther”: An exclusive look at Glenn Beck’s The Overton Window | Media Matters for America – Wow – this might possibly be worth a read, as a comedy, if I could find a copy for free.

  1. Maybe they’ll send copies through the mail, like that “Evil Muslims are going to break into your house and eat your face!” DVD from back during the campaign.

  2. Apparently Beck attended the Ed Wood School of “Creative” Writing. Pity he didn’t work “Plan 9” into the book’s title.
