Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- 1962 oil company ad boasts about ability to melt glaciers – The irony is, um, chilling.
- Former Bush Adviser Mark McKinnon Rips GOP’s Stance On Mosque: ‘We’re Reinforcing Al Qaeda’s Message’ – It’s remarkable how far Right the Right has lurched since the Bush days. It’s even more remarkable how quickly they’ve done it.
- YouTube – Breaking into a Garage – Well, it helps the burglar if you have windows into your garage. More importantly, a quick look online will show you how to “lock” the manual disengagement lever. Still, good info to review.
- 100-year-old scotch pulled from Antarctic ice – This one’s for my Father-in-Law …
- Colo. GOP Leaders Totally Love Bicycle-Man Dan Maes, Are Begging Him To Quit – (Giggles uncontrollably.)
- Something’s Afoot: A Great Way to Start the School Year! – Katherine’s school is great. One of my biggest regrets, though, is that the structure of our district is such that she simply cannot walk to it (actually, it would be a darned long walk to any nearby school in our district). It was good exercise, good thinking time, a chance for independence, and, somehow, I managed to not get snatched off the street by terrorists.
- ComfyCushion – MySoti.com – Product List – If you’ve always wanted to show your support for your favorite team, the Fighting Displacer Beasts, now you can!
- Classy – Real Life Comics August / 13 / 2010 – I think this ought to be in the FAQ for all games.
- Prop. 8: Who speaks for California? – Interesting analysis for who, if anyone, can appeal that Prop 8 ruling.
