Fred gets scanned, scan shows a gun, TSO in the Secret Booth flags the TSOs on the ground to search him. Lacking an image of the gun (since none can be stored), is the immediate search admissible in court? Is there “probable cause” based on a TSO’s unsubstantiated testimony?
- Price Check by Amazon: Free iPhone App Compares Price Of In-Store Items With Amazon’s Prices – The existing Amazon app (on the Android, at least) already does this.
- Documentary review: Waiting For Superman – Are there problems in our educational system? Certainly. Are they easily solvable by getting rid of teachers unions and privatizing the school system? Highly doubtful.
- Ridiculous Amounts Of Lead, Other Crap, Found On Decorative Glasses – People actually drink from these things? Don’t they know you’re supposed to just wrap them up and store them in your parents’ garage so that some day you can retrieve them and sell them as collectors items?

2. Rush is a – what’s the word? oh, yes – dolt.
8. How many reboots involve the original creator? Battlestar Galactica, The Night Stalker, Hawaii 5-0, Maverick… Why should this one be any different?
In fact, if it’s going to be as successful as the BG reboot, they should incorporate similar changes. Buffy should now be a man. The main enemy should be changed enough so as to appear nothing like the original version (perhaps the new vampires can be armored, or telepathic, or should sparkle in daylight). If there is a memorable main theme, lose it in favor of some generic Enya-esque vocals.
17. I still have two complete sets of Burger King’s Star Wars glasses from all three movies. I checked ebay about 10 years ago and they weren’t worth a fortune. Even now, ROTJ glasses seem to be $5-8 while the first movie’s can fetch up to $20 (if anybody is buying them at that price, of course).
8. I am reserving final judgment to hear what new, fresh, exciting changes they’ve made. The folks involved are not untalented hacks, to be sure. Still, it feels rushed — BSG waited a couple of decades before taking the plunge, H50 ditto. Also, it’s not like tastes have that dramatically changed since BtVS was on. Plus … there’s a fair amount of fanaticism around the show, not just for the show itself, but for Joss, and freezing him out would seem to threaten getting folks back onboard.
We’ll see.
