First “blood libel,” now “pogrom” … what next, “Holocaust”?

- Fischer: “We Are Looking Into the Face of Satan Himself” When Palin is Attacked – Yes, that’s Bryan Fischer telling us that criticizing Sarah Palin is “unvarnished demonic evil … pure homicidal rage and hate.” Projecting much, Bryan?

Rush Attacks Gillibrand For Saying ‘We Can Conduct Ourselves Better’ – Now one should really wonder how many leaders of the Religious Right will respond to Limbaugh’s attack on a central tenet of Christianity — that we are, in fact, not as good as we can be, that we all are in need of improvement (and that, in fact, we cannot be good enough to merit salvation without God’s grace). I suspect the answer is … um … none.

Re: vocabulary
“Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness’sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Palin’s ilk think that they are righteous and that they are destined for heaven. Therefore any opposition is persecution.
That these same people universally practice a sort of Christ-less Christianity — rejecting all the love the poor and the downtrodden bits and the anti-materialist bits — is ironic.
Yeah, but Christ didn’t follow up by saying, “So be sure and get all snarky and angry and defensive about it.”
