Very sad. My fave movie composer.
The 007 films just haven’t been the same without his scores. I always hoped to meet him to reassure him that we fans know he was responsible for the James Bond theme, despite the credited Monty Norman’s small contribution.
I don’t have a rational basis for deciding the whole “James Bond Theme” debate — but Barry’s overwhelming contribution to the Bond music is astonishing, even if he hasn’t done one in years.
