- Great Hera, they tweaked the TV Wonder Woman costume! – Some decent tweaks (though it’s remarkable that, in this case, spandex is an improvement).
- IDC predicts Windows Phone 7 will be 2nd behind Android by 2015 | ZDNet – I keep hearing that this will be driven by the “enterprise market” — but, like my own company, more and more firms are getting out of providing company cell phones, and instead just asking for basic, functional compatibility to access corporate resources. Which is why the percent of Blackberries you see in our meetings has nosedived while the percent of iPhones and Androids has skyrocketed.
- Fischer Again Calls For Ban on Muslim Immigration and Mosques – That’s actually the bigger story — that ostensibly mainstream or important figures in the GOP (Gingrich, Pawlenty, Barbour, Bachmann, Huckabee) continue to truckle to this dolt, and lend him their fame and fortune in hopes that he’ll do the same I don’t think (at least I hope not) that most of them actually agree with him about Muslims and Gays and whomever else Fischer has decided to demonize (literally) on any given day — but that just makes it worse, doesn’t it?
- Why I’ve Switched From Chrome to Firefox 4 [Web Browsers] – Bottom line of the article: Firefox remains much more elegantly customizable than Chrome. Which is, to my mind, spot on. On the other hand, the memory-sucking problem remains (as briefly acknowledged at the end). I’m still on the fence about this one.
- Wisconsin Judge Again Blocks Anti-Union Wisconsin Law; Attorney General Says It’s In Effect – “It’s just startling that the attorney general believes you should not follow court orders anymore.” Actually, no, it’s not — that’s the sad thing.
- 14-Year-Old Girl Charged With Adultery, Lashed To Death in Bangladesh – Wrong, sick, and twisted. That anyone — whether under the aegis of “religion” or “culture” or “honor” — would do this sort of thing (or would stand by and let it be done at the behest of the local religious leader) is disgusting.
