Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Despite Earlier Claims, Steve King Admits That None Of His Constituents Died After Reintroduction Of Estate Tax – Honestly? If a gazillionaire decides to bump himself off early because he wants all the junior gazillioniare kids to not have to pay an estate tax (which really only affects gazillionaires) … let him.
- ‘In God We Trust’ Signs Making Their Way Through Missouri… – The “historic and patriotic words” — but not religious. They can’t call them religious words. Even though they are, of course, patently religious, and to not call them religious makes you either a liar or someone who is actually trying to cubbyhole God into being some sort of secular totem. - Rep. Graves Calls GOP’s Billions In Oil Subsidies ‘Market Manipulation;’ Forgets That He Voted To Extend Them – We subsidize oil because, of course, oil subsidizes congress. That’s about the only reason I can think of.
- Who Does the US Owe Money To? – Intersting — and far less China on there (both today and on the growth chart) than popular fearmongering has it.
- Californians back raising taxes on state’s wealthy – It’s about time somebody does.

- The name is Christ … Jesus Christ – The Jehovah’s Witnesses dropped by the house today. This image doesn’t show it as well as the original of the pamphlet they left, but I swear Jesus looks like (a younger, hairier) Sean Connery.
