Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Syfy! – RLC for May / 10 / 2011 – Heh.
- FSU Accepts Funds From Charles Koch In Return For Control Over Its Academic Freedom – Wow. And I thought if I had millions of dollars, all I could do with it is buy naming rights to a new college building. Instead, I guess I could dictate who to hire to teach in that building and what they would be publishing. Neat!
- Florida City Paying $2,500 A Day To Radical Union-Busting Firm To Stop Workers From Organizing – So either the city is lying about not recognizing the ideological bent of the company they’re spending close to $1MM/yr on, or else they’re hapless incompetents who haven’t done any research on same. So, which story would they like to go with?
- TN Bill Calls Two Or More Observant Muslims A ‘Sharia Organization’ – I’m sure this will never pass constitutional muster, but it will certainly (a) scare a bunch of them damned Muslim-types, and (b) score a bunch of political points from a bunch of ignorant / terrified constituents.
- Flashback: Biblical baby names – Some of these names used to be a lot more popular — it’s interesting to watch what trends, and figure out why.
- Just, juster, justest – I’m finding interesting the meta-debates over the operation against OBL and its results — stuff beyond the political chest-thumping into analyses of what’s right, and what it is that our nation stands for.
- LC Outraged That Bus Drivers Have To “Deliver Clients Wherever They Want To Be Dropped” – I suppose the Liberty Council would support a bus driver’s right to NOT drive someone to a Christian church, too … right?
