And back for another big week. Several issue #1s, a final issue, a broad mix of comic book companies, and a bit of Eisner Award goodness. The player is at the bottom of the post, after the covers.
I discovered (as I was searching for covers) that, yes, “Mystic” was one of the old CG titles — though aside from some very basic similarities, the new title is a full re-envisioning of that old one.
I’ve read (and enjoyed) the Punisher to the extent that creative talent has made it entertaining. Garth Ennis’ over-the-top run on the title was delightful. Given Rucka’s literary background, I expect some very good stuff.
One small suggestion: include the date in your podcasts. This could be the date of recording or the date the comics were released. It might help folks who find your podcast archive and are listening to “back issues.”
Smile was a lot of fun, read it last week, many snorts, laughs and insightfulness. Since you have it, I’ll not bring it.
The CrossGen ‘verse rocked, sad to see it go away. 🙁
Okay, I was very curious as to why you would be reading The Punisher.
You really need to read 20th Century Boys, it is all sorts of greatness.

It is included in the metadata, and in various other places around it, but, yeah, I should include it in the actual verbiage of the podcast.
