Giving a supportive honk to Occupy Denver is a ticketable offense? Yeah, according to the statute, arguably so. But if it was being done in support of a police department fundraiser or something, I bet it wouldn't draw a citation. (Let alone a search of the car and trunk.)
I think the man involved could make a good case that the horn-honking is a political expression, if he chose to fight it. I'm thinking that's still covered by the First Amendment, even if done in favor of an Occupy group. #ddtb

I think Someone is desperate when they interpret that section so broadly. I think some legal proceedings are going to refine the definition of “nuisance” in that part of Denver traffic code.
I did notice that Sting wore a t-shirt with a 12-level labyrinth on it. The man is whipcord bordering on scrawny!.
@Marina – I think the city would be hard-put to stand up to challenge in this case. But that assumes the guy would be willing to go to court over it.
As was pointed out on am760 the other morning, Times that cops allow honking:
– In support of any teabagger rally.
– In support of any Politician, especially if their names are Hancock or Hickenlooper.
It is just one more subjective abuse of power, you know, like cops usually do.
