The blinking lights don’t bother me nearly as much as binocular views that have two overlapping circles. Do they think we have never looked through binoculars? Or have they never used them?
@Avo – I think that’s a visual meme that’s gone largely away. I may be wrong, but it’s not something I see much of any more.
I see it all the time! If a character in any show, old or current, uses binoculars, the view will be overlapping circles that would in reality give a double image. Gah!
The only time I have ever seen the correct representation, a single circle, was in a Hitchcock film, and even he got it wrong in other movies.
