Ah, yes, as we consider the history of the Iraq War, the Very Special role played by corporate mercenaries / security contractors like Blackwater (which has now changed its name twice since then) needs to be taken into account — both in terms of our utter national irresponsibility toward the country we were occupying with an eye toward trying to get it back on its feet, and in terms of the accountability costs of privatizing government services.
