A very believable article about why Best Buy is losing … going out of business. And the answer is that "Amazon doesn't pay sales tax." It's that "Amazon takes care of the customer, and Best Buy doesn't." #ddtb

Why Best Buy is Going out of Business…Gradually – Forbes
Consumer electronics retailer Best Buy is doing everything wrong.

I was in Best Buy 18 months ago. I wanted to purchase a television. Unfortunately, employees were too busy talking to each other, or pacing up and down the aisles pointedly ignoring me, so I was unable to do so. I went instead to a store right in my village, where I found a friendly sales associate (there was only one – it’s a small store) who helped me find a TV and then called her manager so he could advise me on what kind of antenna to buy. Then the young lady who had helped me told me if I had any trouble setting it up, I should call, as I lived on her way home from work and she would be happy to stop in. Will I ever go back to Best Buy? Not likely.
@Ellie – I’ve had all three experiences with Best Buy: can’t find someone to help you to save your life, can’t get away from folks bugging you every 5 minutes if they can help you, and (on occasion) someone who can help. Fact is, though, 99% of the time I intentionally go in with an idea of what I want to some degree or another, and don’t rely upon the BB staff.
