Okay, so I'm not a big fan of Our Surveillance Society … but reading through this article, I'm really trying to see where the beef is.
So DHS "watches Twitter" and Facebook and MySpace. And also some news sites.
Um … so do I. Except the MySpace.
DHS says they are doing it to maintain "situational awareness" — which I translate as a fancy term for "following the news and being aware of stuff going on." Assuming they're not cracking my Facebook account and reviewing all my private posts about my various private kinky activities … I'm really not alarmed. In fact, I'd even say it sounds like they're doing their job, which would be something of a revelation. #ddtb
