The USDA has released a new plant zoning map of the US, reflecting overall warmer temps in the US (or, more specifically, higher low temps).
While some people may see this as a good thing ("Hey, I can grow passion flowers now!"), it also means that cold extremes that prevented some weed varieties, as well as insects, from heading northward are less "effective." In other words, passion flowers, maybe, but also fire ants, maybe. #ddtb
