Mitt Romney attempting to backpedal. He is failing.

He's saying that he pays around 50% in taxes because his corporation pays 35% and he pays 13.9% meaning that his actual tax burden is higher.

That's complete bullshit. The corporation pays salary after taxes are paid. And Mitt Romney doesn't earn a salary, he gets his money as gained capital which means that he pays 15% and lower, with deductions.

He does not pay 50% in taxes, he is full of shit.

  1. You know, I pay sales tax on stuff I buy, and the people who make it pay income tax, and they pay sales tax on the stuff they buy, and companies pay 35% tax (#noTheyDon’t), and there are fuel taxes on delivering everything, so when you think about it, I pay 275% tax on my income.
