Discrimination against #trans folk by the Trump regime is a win-win for them (they think). Not only do they get to exercise their ostensible animus ("Ew, trans cooties!") about the group, but it provides a whipping boy they can use to other purposes.

Neither is a legitimate use of governance, but Trump & Co. think quaint concept is for suckers.

So if parents can demand opting out if #school materials even mention the presence of #LGBTQ people (the real intent being to get schools to drop such #books) because that is unconstitutional "coercion," then what happens when (not if) parents object about #interracial couples in a book? Or race-mingled neighborhoods? Or that there are #religions other than #Christianity? Or that a mother has a job outside the home.? Or that kids are playing soccer on the #Sabbath?

Take, for example, bald eagles. Under the new interpretation, nobody cares if you (profitably) cut down a forest or (profitably) pollute its lakes with pesticides or mine tailings run-off, even if this results in killing all the bald eagles in the area. As long as you are not *explicitly hunting* bald eagles, you're perfectly legal.

If I were a non-US citizen, I would almost certainly be canceling any #vacation plans to the Statues until the #Trump regime gets its act together. Or maybe longer than that. And if I owned a venue that has usually attracted foreign visitors, I'd be examining my financial plans.

The current regime has made it clear that foreigners are only grudgingly welcome, and if they don't like it they can pound sand.
