If the November election is about Obama vs. the Economy, or even Obama vs. Obama, he might well have problems (even thought the economy is, in fact, improving).
If the November election is Obama vs. Romney, Obama is much more likely to succeed.
Of course, this is polling before the GOP primaries are over, 9 months before the election, with plenty of room for slips, trips, and falls. But I suspect those will be the basic themes we'll see the candidates and their parties pursue. #ddtb
