No object, your honor: a Perry Mason movie sounds like a great idea

I am a great fan of the old Raymond Burr "Perry Mason" TV series — and even more of Earl Stanley Gardner's book series (where Mason played much faster and looser with the law, though all in the cause of justice). I think there is absolutely room for a movie "reboot" of the series, esp. set in the era when ESG was writing them.

The Mason books are not action-packed — though there can be action — but are instead more cerebral, and I think Robert Downey, Jr., could quite seriously pull the role off. I look forward to this quite a bit. #ddtb
