In fact, it will probably be … well, a lot like his first term. The oscillations may be a bit broader, as a desire to set a historical legacy combats with an increasing lame duckiness. And some will depend on how the House and Senate races go.
But I neither expect Obama to dismantle the homeland security apparat nor to steal everyone's guns nor to put in place a single player health care system nor to outlaw Christianty nor to push for a cap-and-trade system nor to build a brownshirt army, regardless of his Congressional backing. And anyone to think so needs to really do a reality check, or else is trying to get donations from you. #ddtb
