Never had any of those. My “classic” poster was Garfield cautioning me to “Remember to stop and eat the flowers.”
Back in the 70s, I mostly had James Bond theatrical posters. I later got a couple of Garfield posters and had that lovely Michael Golden poster of Marvel characters (50¢; I recently bought a much smaller print of it from the artist for $20 and spent $80 to have it matted and framed!) These days I have a cloth map of LotRO’s Moria, some Marvel mini-posters (pullouts from the comics or Wizard magzine), and a Birdsong print of Worf, Data, and Troi.
@Avo – I had several full-size comic book posters (most of which are now up on the basement walls), favorites of which were a Gene Perez New Teen Titans, and a John Romita Jr X-Men.
The Farrah poster always made me think something really painful was happening to her just that second.
@Randy – It never appealed to me as much as it did some. I was always more a Raquel Welch kinda guy.
I can’t remember what posters I might have had in college, although I think I had a couple of pieces of printed fabric there, but I would totally have wanted the poster of Jim Morrison.
Farah vs Raquel: Absolutely. Still, a smile would have been a lot more appealing than that rictus.
I had the Teen Titans poster, too! I had forgotten all about that.
Love that poster. Still have it, and I think I put it up on the chair rail in our basement last cleaning.
