Actually, the Senate reform bill for the USPS sounds fairly reasonable — though given that the problems with the Postal Service arise almost entirely from unique congressional mandates on retiree pension set-asides, I'm disappointed the "revamp" to that got only half a sentence.
Of course, now it's on to the House, where I've no doubt the GOP will do its darnedest to make it easier for private companies to cherry-pick away the lucrative parts of the USPS portfolio. Which will make someone money, somewhere, but won't help all those rural locations and other services that aren't nearly as revenue-friendly.
