- W beach volleyball is always damned impressive. Just not quite as aesthetically so with the weather requiring their black longjohns. #
- Ah. Team Handball is actually Water Polo, only without the water. Also, water polo guys are hot, and I say that as a very straight man. #
- Okay, I admit it – synchronized diving is more impressive than it sounds. Control = achievement. #
- Wait — all of the Fabulous Five US F Gymnasts have a "Y" in their name (or nickname). Sigh. #
- Funniest Olympic footage yet: mom and dad of F gymnast doing the whole body language of the routine from the stands. #
- Just noticed the ad for the Avengers video release in Sept. has everyone except … no clip of Black Widow? Really? Damned stupid #fail . #
- Irksome that the F gymnasts have to do a "dance" for their floor routine vs. the M gymnasts. Want to see athletics, not poses. #
- OK, can we PLEASE stop focusing the camera on Jordyn Wieber crying? Yes, she obviously feels bad about not making the all-around. #vultures #
