Losing your luggage is one thing

.. losing a 10-year-old girl is downright awful

We've sent Kay on a couple of unaccompanied flights, and not only was everything okay, but the airline involved was really paranoid about the whole thing to make sure that she went on and came off and into the appropriate hands.

Of course, those flights never involved a transfer, which is where this whole picture fell apart.  Sounds like United had a major fluster-cluck in Chicago, and nobody there wanted to step up to it.

+United Airlines service continues to get worse and worse, and I try my best to avoid them whenever I can.

Wow, that's the sort of thing that would make me never fly United again. Though the fact that I'm pretty much not flying these days thanks to the TSA makes the point rather moot.
