GOP lawmakers in Texas sure showed all those evil abortionists (and the folks who do the other 97% of the work) at Planned Parenthood by cutting off all state funding to them. That meant that federal funding to the state program was dropped, but it was worth it to give Planned Parenthood a poke in the eye, right?
Except, of course, that a lot of other, non-PP women's health clinics have ended up closing, with unfortunate results for the poor Texas women who depended on them for a wide variety of service.
