Everybody Talks About The Weather (And How It's A Democratic Conspiracy)
I actually listed to the 8-odd minutes of Rush below. He can't seem to decide whether the Evil Crime was not changing the storm track from Tampa (to damage the GOP convention) or changing it to New Orleans (to conjure up ghosts of Bush and Katrina). It can't be both, because that would be irrational. But, then, I forget …
In either case, Rush assures us that he is in no way claiming there is a conspiracy here. Just that the government-controlled hurricane predictions were all part of a way to politicize the weather against the Republicans. But not by conspiracy, mind you. Just … in some … um … magical Evil Obama way.
Prediction: This will next morph into yet another rhetorical drive to privatize the National Weather Service. You just watch.

I'm under the impression the hurricane has been good for the Tampa convention. Aren't conventions just about getting tons of press anyway?
True. And all those folks in town had to do something rather than shout and scream at the convention, right?
MiL Edna asks why anyone with a brain schedules any major event, which could be held elsewhere, in Florida during hurricane season?
Wise woman, that.
@Marina – To pump up the local vote, one assumes. Though I’d be curious if anyone’s ever actually done an analysis of that to see if it does anything.
