California okays the concept of driverless, autonomous cars, subject to regulations to be written. Which is fairly darned cool, if you ask me.

While it does sound cool, there's no way in hell you'd get me in one of those. It also sounds like lawsuit city.
In principle a robot driver could be much more reliable than I am.
I’d like it a lot more in, say, Utah.
I have family and family of friends in California. They drive. Think, “Microsoft.”
And, WOW, reCAPTCHA is messed up recently. Six attempts to find a readable one. So far.
While I think the concept is very cool, I won’t even use Cruise Control because I need to be in control myself.
It would sign up as soon as I can afford one and if I'm shopping for a car. Why the hell do I need to drive? Its a pointless activity that provides no value to me and is dangerous. I would rather spend the time working, reading, or on the phone.
I am SO looking forward to the day when I can afford a car that can drive itself. I want to get in the car and take a nap, and wake up at my destination. That technology will totally transform the trucking industry when it gets reliable enough for their use.
