Trying to banish the reputation of "Dave Hill: International Man of Mystery"

Actually, my regular pulling aside by border agents and inability to pre-check-in for flights went mostly away when I started making sure my travel was registered with my full name. Still, the border stuff has been a bit of a PitA, except for this last trip.

So since I have more international travel coming up in my future, I decided t apply for the Global Entry program to make it easier and faster to get through Customs. And it's also a way to get into the Pre-Check program for easier security line processes.

I got all the forms filled out and submitted online, and just got back my tentative approval, subject to a required interview and review of my papers and so forth. First available appointment? The end of February.  Yeesh.

  1. Why don’t you have your handlers at the Agency provide you with false documents? You could travel as Frederick Foswell and nobody would be the wiser.
