It was a Peerless, picked up at Lowe’s. So far, so good (though I haven’t made more than cursory use of it so far, having been away from the house since that night).
We decided to have a plumber install it for us (and do a few other things, including replacing the toilet in the upstairs bathroom) because its position with a deep sink and a large garbage disposal was going to make it difficult. Plus the previous faucet had been there 16 years or so.
The plumber was, frankly, overpriced in general, but more than worth it for that sink, as it took him half an hour (fixed price) to get the old faucet out, given problems with corrosion on the feed pipes and on the old faucet mounts itself.
We’re toying with replacing the bathroom spigots ourselves. Will have to see.
Spigot is an ugly word, don't you think? I prefer the light simplicity of "tap". Has that one got lights in it?
Brand? How do you like it? Ease of installation?
People with old faucets want to know.

Actually, "faucet" is the word I ought to have used. Ah, well.
No, no lighting. Always thought that was kind of a goofy feature.
