Well. This should be interesting.
Plus, hemp production.
I foresee some interesting butting heads with the Feds, and lots of role reversals over how federalism is supposed to work.

Wow, man.
Just to be flippant for a second, does this mean that Boulder, Colorado will rename itself to Stoned, Colorado?
+Kevin Phair, I'm still waiting for the flippant part.
Well, I know the topic of drug use and misuse can be very touchy for many people and there appear to be a growing number of studies confirming that marijuana affects brain development.
I'm not an advocate of marijuana use. Nor am I an advocate of alcohol use, or tobacco, or bacon, or refined sugar, in terms of touting their health benefits. But those things are all legal (and, in the case of alcohol and tobacco, age-regulated), and while pot certainly has some possible side effects, they are (a) no worse than those legal things, and (b) not justification for a horrible waste of resources and lives to try and suppress.
I'll agree that the efforts are certainly disproportionate considering what should be spent on other, more important health issues. As you say, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
