Amazon Wine

Yeah, because this is just what I need …

Actually, it isn't, really. Colorado is not yet on the list of recipient states. And the prices for the labels I recognized weren't that great, even without the $1.67/bottle shipping cost (sorry, no Prime), and the selection was adequate but not all that interesting.

I'll be curious to see how this works for them, or how it expands and the price points adjust.

I might never need to leave my house again .Except for Work…Amazon kicks off wine sales today, just days after it began testing a Netflix Killer monthly video streaming service. Coincidence?…

  1. There’s no need for NY to be on the list at all. We have many fine wineries here, most of whom deliver for a reasonable fee. I’m rather fond of Fox Run and Anthony Road, myself.

I think marijuana presents as a great tax opportunity. Never used it and probably never would, but I see no reason not to regulate it as closely as alcohol, and tax it accordingly.

    1. Well, you probably have book stores, too, but people still use Amazon for books …

We belong to some wine clubs, so we get wine shipments of stuff we know we like, so that’s a convenience. It also helps when it’s stuff that’s not readily available locally and there’s some sort of discounted price.

I think Amazon’s prices aren’t all that great, especially with the shipping, but I suspect that will adjust over time if need be.
